IUB admission at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur runs twice a year (Fall and Spring) for BS, MPhil and PhD programs. This page summarises only what IUB has officially published, and tells you what to expect for Spring 2027.
Quick answer (October 2026): IUB admits students twice a year, in Fall and Spring. Fall 2026 admissions are closed (the official advertisement gave June 30, 2026 as the last date). Spring 2027 admissions have not been announced yet; they are expected around January 2027, because the Spring 2026 admission campaign was announced by IUB on January 16, 2026. All applications are made online at eportal.iub.edu.pk.

IUB Admission at a Glance (Verified Facts)
- Intakes: Fall (main intake, advertised around June) and Spring (advertised around January). Not every program is offered in Spring, so check the Spring advertisement for your program.
- How to apply: online at eportal.iub.edu.pk. The admission advertisement (PDF) on iub.edu.pk lists the programs, campuses and last date for each intake.
- Campuses: IUB admissions cover the Bahawalpur campuses (the central admission centre is at Abbasia Campus) and the Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalnagar campuses.
- Spring 2026 programs: IUB announced BS admissions in 12 faculties, weekend MPhil programs, and MPhil/PhD admissions for Spring 2026.
- Students awaiting results: according to the Fall 2026 advertisement, students who passed 1st year (or 3rd year) could apply, and merit was calculated on 1st/3rd year marks; 2nd/4th year results did not change merit but still had to meet the minimum eligibility.
- BS 5th semester: BA/BSc or Associate Degree holders were eligible for admission in the 5th semester of BS programs (Fall 2026 advertisement).
- Entry test: a Departmental Aptitude Test (DAT) was mandatory for the 5-year Architecture degree (Fall 2026). Program-wise eligibility and merit criteria are given in each intake’s advertisement and prospectus — always read the current one.

Scholarships for IUB Students
Need-based students can apply for the HEC BISP Undergraduate Scholarship (formerly Ehsaas): it covers tuition as per actual plus Rs 40,000 per year; apply at ehsaas.hec.gov.pk and submit the hard copy to the IUB Financial Aid Office.
