IUB Fall Admission 2026 – Last Date, Eligibility, Merit List & How to Apply

Last Updated: October 22, 2026 | Sources: iub.edu.pk (fee structure, campuses), APP reports of June 22 and July 22, 2026, checked October 22, 2026

Quick answer: IUB Fall Admission 2026 is no longer open for new applications. IUB opened Fall 2026 admissions in mid-2026 — the Vice Chancellor said on June 22, 2026 that admissions were open in 325 programs (APP), and LLB admissions were announced in July 2026. Merit lists have since been issued on the admission portal (eportal.iub.edu.pk); for example, a 5th Pharm-D self-finance list had a dues deadline of October 13, 2026. If you missed Fall 2026, watch for IUB’s Spring 2027 advertisement (for programs offered in spring) or the Fall 2027 advertisement (expected mid-2027, based on the usual cycle).

IUB Fall Admission 2026 — Important Dates and Complete Schedule

Here is where the Fall 2026 cycle stands. Program-wise dates were given in IUB’s official advertisements.

Is IUB admission open right now? Not for Fall 2026. Check iub.edu.pk for the next advertisement and note the program-wise last date as soon as it is published.

Want to know what happens after admission? Check the complete IUB Fee Structure 2026 guide — semester fees vary significantly by program and knowing your costs before merit list day prevents last-minute financial surprises.

Takeaway: Fall 2026 applications are closed and merit lists have been issued. For the next cycle, apply early once the advertisement is out.

Programs Available in IUB Fall Admission 2026 — BS, MS and PhD

IUB said Fall 2026 admissions were open in 325 programs across its campuses. The table gives examples by faculty; the official advertisement lists the exact programs and campuses.

Professional programs such as BS Nursing (regulated by PNMC), Pharm-D (PCP) and DVM (PVMC) have limited seats and their own eligibility rules.

For program-specific admission details, check dedicated pages: IUB BS Nursing Admission 2026 and IUB Pharm-D Admission 2026 — both have separate eligibility rules and merit calculations that differ from general BS programs.

Takeaway: IUB’s fall admission covers BS, MPhil/MS and PhD programs (325 programs in Fall 2026, per IUB). Check the advertisement for your program’s campus and rules.

IUB Fall Admission 2026 Eligibility — Requirements by Program Level

IUB admission requirements vary by program level and program. The table shows the general qualification needed; minimum marks and any entry test are stated program-wise in IUB’s advertisement (MPhil/PhD criteria also follow HEC rules).

One critical thing many applicants miss for IUB Fall Admission 2026: A-level students need an IBCC equivalence certificate — apply for it well before the admission window opens.

For NAT and GAT test dates, check the IUB NAT and GAT Test Schedule 2026 page, if your program requires a test.

Takeaway: BS needs Intermediate (or equivalent); MPhil/MS needs a 16-year degree; PhD needs an MS/MPhil. Minimum marks and tests are program-wise in the advertisement.

IUB Fall Admission Merit List 2026 — How It Works and What to Expect

IUB publishes merit lists program-wise on its admission portal. The merit formula for each program is printed in the advertisement; we have not been able to confirm a single formula that applies to all BS programs.

Typical merit components (weightage as per the advertisement):

MPhil/MS and PhD merit follows HEC and IUB criteria stated in the postgraduate advertisement.

IUB does not publish closing merits in advance. The best guide is the last merit list issued for your program and quota on the admission portal.

Fall 2026 merit lists are on IUB’s admission portal; see our IUB Merit List page for how to check.

Takeaway: Use the merit formula in your program’s advertisement and the last issued merit list as your guide — not unofficial estimates.

Documents Required for IUB Fall Admission 2026 — Full Checklist

Document errors cause more IUB Fall Admission 2026 rejections than low merit does. Here’s the exact checklist — prepare everything before the portal opens, not after.

Three documents students consistently forget for IUB Fall Admission 2026: first, migration certificate — if you studied at any other university even for one semester, this is mandatory. Second, character certificate from last institution — a general affidavit is not accepted. Third, IBCC equivalency certificate for A-level students — apply 6 weeks before IUB’s deadline.

For students applying to IUB’s migration policy or transferring from another HEC-recognized university, check the IUB Migration Policy page — transfer admission has additional requirements and a separate application process from fresh fall admission.

Takeaway: All 10 documents must be ready before IUB Fall Admission 2026 portal opens — incomplete applications are rejected at verification, not given time to fix missing documents.

How to Apply for IUB Fall Admission 2026 Online — Step by Step

IUB fall admission 2026 online apply process runs through the official iub.edu.pk portal — but there are mandatory offline steps that students consistently miss. Submitting the online form is not the end of the process. Here’s the complete flow based on IUB’s last 3 fall admission cycles.

Step 1 — Check eligibility and test requirement: Read your program’s section in the advertisement to see the minimum marks and whether a test is required. If needed, check the IUB NAT GAT Test Schedule page.

Step 2 — Register on the portal: Create your account on eportal.iub.edu.pk with your CNIC/B-Form and email.

Step 3 — Apply online and pay the processing fee: Fill in your details, academic marks and program choices, upload clear scans of your documents, generate the fee challan from the portal and pay it (amount as per the advertisement), then submit before the last date.

Step 4 — Physical Document Verification: If your name appears on a merit list, bring originals and attested copies to the Admission Cell, Abbasia Campus, Bahawalpur, on the dates given with the list. Outstation students should plan travel in advance.

Step 5 — Pay Semester Fee: After verification, pay the first-semester fee challan by the deadline on the merit list. Check the IUB Fee Structure 2026 so you know exactly how much to have ready before merit list day.

Takeaway: Apply online, then complete physical document verification at the Admission Cell (Abbasia Campus) and pay the fee by the merit-list deadline.
