Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information iubfun.com (“Pakistan Education Hub”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. iubfun.com is an independent, student-run education information website. It is not the official website of any university, board or government body.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: if you leave a comment, we receive the name, email address and comment text you enter. Your email address is not shown publicly.
  • Information collected automatically: like most websites, our server and the services listed below record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time of visit and the page that referred you. We use this to keep the site working, secure and to understand which pages are useful.
  • Push notifications: if you choose to allow browser notifications, a notification service stores a device token so we can send you result and admission alerts. You can turn this off at any time in your browser settings.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. iubfun.com and its partners use cookies to remember preferences, measure visits, protect the site and show advertisements. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work less smoothly.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Analytics and site services

We use Google services (such as Google Analytics and Search Console through Site Kit) and WordPress/Jetpack statistics to understand how visitors use the site, a security service to block attacks and spam, and a spam-filtering service for comments. These providers process technical data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.

How we use information

  • To run, secure and improve the website and its content.
  • To display and moderate comments and answer corrections sent by readers.
  • To show advertisements that pay for hosting and keep the site free.
  • To send push notifications only if you have allowed them.

We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep information

Comments and their metadata are kept until the comment is removed. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and statistics.

Your choices

  • Change your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
  • Opt out of personalised ads using the Google links above.
  • Turn off push notifications in your browser at any time.
  • Ask us to remove a comment you posted by leaving a reply on the same article.

Children’s information

The site is written for students and parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information in a comment, let us know and we will remove it.

Our articles link to official websites of boards, universities and government departments. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.
