Punjab matric date sheet 2026 — paper format and exam timings

Each paper has an objective (MCQ) part, answered and handed in first, followed by the subjective part. Marks and time for each subject are given on the board’s official model papers and scheme of studies — check your board’s website, as they differ by subject.

In 2026 the morning paper started at 9:00 AM and the evening paper at 2:00 PM (2:30 PM on Fridays), as printed on the date sheet. Arrive at your centre early with your roll number slip. Your roll number slip — downloaded from your board’s website — confirms which shift you are assigned to. Practical exam schedule — Punjab matric 2026 Science group

Science group students also sit practical exams after the theory papers. Each board publishes its own practical schedule and centre allocation on its website. Key points:

• Subjects with practicals: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science (where applicable).
• Schedule: announced separately by each board after the theory papers.
• Timing: your batch and time are printed on the practical slip/roll number slip.
• Lab centre: can be different from the theory exam centre — check your board’s notice.
• Required items: Roll number slip, practical record notebook (where applicable), pencil, ruler.

Arts group students without practical subjects finish with their last theory paper.

Step-by-step preparation plan using Punjab matric date sheet 2026

Use this simple plan for the 2027 exams once the new date sheet is out:

1. Before the 10th class papers start: Complete revision of all 10th class compulsory subjects. Do 5 past papers per subject minimum. Prioritize Urdu, English, and Math — these come early in the schedule.
2. During the 10th class exams: Use the gap days between papers for targeted chapter review.
3. 9th class students before their papers start: This is your full revision window. Do complete past 5 years papers for each subject. Focus on question patterns and repeated topics.
4. During the 9th class exams: Focus on each upcoming paper the night before. Do not stress over submitted papers. Review only the next subject.
5. Science group practicals: Practise all lab procedures, organise your practical notebooks and confirm your practical centre on your board’s website.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the matric date sheet 2026 Punjab the same for all nine boards?

Yes. The matric date sheet 2026 Punjab is unified across all nine boards — BISE Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, and Sahiwal all start exams on the same dates. PBCC issues one provincial schedule: 10th class from March 27 and 9th class from April 17, 2026. The subject-wise timetable is also standardized. Students must always download from their own board’s website because roll number slips and exam center information are board-specific.

What is the 10th class matric date sheet 2026 Punjab start date?

The 2026 10th class (SSC Part II) annual exams began on 27 March 2026 and ended on 16 April 2026 in all nine Punjab boards, for regular and private students. The result was announced on 6 August 2026. The 2027 date sheet is not out yet (expected early 2027).

How do I know which Punjab board I belong to?

Your Punjab board affiliation is determined by the district your school is located in. Each board covers specific districts: Lahore covers Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Nankana Sahib; Gujranwala covers six upper Punjab districts; Faisalabad covers four central Punjab districts; and so on. Your board name appears on your school fee receipt, SSC registration form, and any previous board certificate. If your school is in a cantonment area, it may be affiliated with FBISE (Federal Board) instead of a Punjab board — check your school administration to confirm.

What happens if a matric date sheet 2026 Punjab exam is postponed?

If a paper is postponed under the matric date sheet 2026 Punjab due to rain, security issues, or another emergency, the relevant BISE board issues a notification on its official website and through affiliated schools with a rescheduled date. PBCC coordinates province-wide postponements to maintain fairness. Students should follow their board’s official website and social media pages during the exam cycle for any last-minute schedule changes. Individual papers are not rescheduled for personal reasons — only board-wide or district-wide emergencies qualify.

Is the matric date sheet 2026 Punjab the same for private and regular candidates?

Yes. The matric date sheet 2026 Punjab exam dates, subject schedule, and session timings are identical for both regular school students and private candidates. The difference is in how you obtain your roll number slip — regular students receive it through their school’s examination in-charge, while private candidates must download it independently from their board’s official website. Private candidates should also verify that their registration and fee payment was completed before the board’s admission deadline to confirm their 2026 exam eligibility.

Where can I check Punjab matric result 2026 after exams?

The 2026 results are out: 10th class on 6 August 2026 and 9th class on 2 September 2026. Each board publishes results on its own website by roll number (e.g. biselahore.com, bisefsd.edu.pk). What is the minimum age to appear in Punjab matric date sheet 2026 exams?

Punjab boards do not impose a strict minimum age requirement for SSC examinations — eligibility is based on class completion and board registration rather than age alone. A student who has completed SSC Part I (9th class) through a registered school affiliated with a Punjab board is eligible for SSC Part II (10th class) exams. Private candidates must meet the board’s registration criteria published on their respective website. Students who have questions about eligibility for the matric date sheet 2026 Punjab exams should contact their specific board’s controller of examinations office directly.
