10th class date sheet 2026 — paper format and daily exam structure
Each paper has an objective (MCQ) part and a subjective part. Under the BISE scheme of studies, roughly 20% of a paper is objective; exact marks and time are printed on each paper and in the board’s model papers.
| Paper Part | Marks | Time Allowed | Submission |
|---|---|---|---|
| Objective (MCQs) | About 20% of the paper (varies by subject) | As printed on the paper | Submitted first — separately from subjective |
| Subjective (short + long questions) | Remaining theory marks | As printed on the paper | Submitted at end of session |
| Science Practical (separate date) | As per board scheme (e.g. 30 for Physics/Chemistry/Biology over Matric) | As per board | Board’s practical schedule |
In the 10th class date sheet 2026 exam hall, students first receive the objective (MCQ) paper. They complete it in 20 minutes, hand it to the invigilator, and then receive the subjective paper. Students cannot go back to the objective paper after submission. In 2026, morning papers began at 9:00 AM and evening papers at 2:00 PM (2:30 PM on Fridays). Your roll number slip — downloaded from your board’s official website — tells you which session you are assigned to. Do not assume based on your school category. Students who want to understand their 10th class result after exams should check our guide on BISE Multan result by name which explains how Punjab board results work.
10th class date sheet 2026 — Science group and Arts group subjects
All 10th class students in 2026 cover the same compulsory subjects regardless of board or group. Elective subjects differ between Science and Arts groups. Here is the complete subject structure for the 10th class date sheet 2026 under all Punjab boards:
| Group | Compulsory Subjects | Elective Subjects | Practicals | Total Marks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Science Group (Pre-Med / Pre-Eng) | Urdu, English, Islamiyat, Pak Studies, Math | Physics, Chemistry, Biology / CS | Yes — May/June 2026 | As per board scheme of studies |
| Arts Group (Humanities) | Urdu, English, Islamiyat, Pak Studies, Math | History, Geography, Civics / Economics | None required | As per board scheme of studies |
Under the 10th class date sheet 2026, compulsory subjects like Urdu, English, and Pakistan Studies are scheduled on the same dates for both groups. Elective papers — Physics, Chemistry, Biology for Science; History, Geography, Civics for Arts — are scheduled on different days. The subject-wise PDF from each board shows exactly which paper falls on which date. Science group students who also aim for DVM or Pharm-D programs after FSc should check our guide on IUB DVM admission 2026 to understand the admission process ahead.
Practical exams for 10th class Science group — 2026 schedule
Science group students appearing in the 10th class date sheet 2026 must additionally appear in practical examinations after theory papers conclude. These practical exams are a mandatory component of the SSC Part II result and carry significant marks. Here is everything Science group students need to know:
- Subjects with practicals: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science (where applicable).
- Practical exam window: After the theory papers, on dates announced by each board (held in shifts).
- Daily sessions: Shift timings are given in the board’s practical notice.
- Lab center allocation: Published separately by each board before practical exams.
- Marks weightage: As per the board scheme of studies (BISE Lahore lists 30 practical marks each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology across Matric).
- What to bring: Roll number slip, practical record notebook (where applicable), pencil, ruler.
Arts group students have no practical obligations under the 10th class date sheet 2026 — in 2026 their theory papers ended on April 16, 2026. Science group students must continue preparing for practicals during theory exam weeks. How to prepare for 10th class date sheet 2026 exams — revision strategy
The 2026 exams are over. If you are appearing in 2027, use this general plan once the 2027 date sheet is announced:
- Before the first paper: Intensive revision for all 10th class subjects. Prioritize compulsory papers that come first in the schedule — typically Urdu, English, Islamiyat, and Pakistan Studies. Do five complete past papers per subject minimum.
- Between papers (gap days): The 10th class date sheet 2026 typically has 2–3 day gaps between each paper. Use these gaps exclusively for the next upcoming subject. Do not revise already-submitted papers — move forward only.
- Subject-specific tips: For Mathematics, practice numerical types and formula applications from past papers. For Physics and Chemistry, solve derivation and equation types consistently. For English, practice essay writing and comprehension under timed conditions.
- Practical preparation (Science group): While doing theory revision, keep practical record notebooks updated. Ask your teacher to conduct mock practical sessions before May 2026.
- Mental preparation: Sleep well the night before each paper. Eat a light meal before morning sessions. Plan your transport to the exam center the day before — confirm the route and allow extra time for traffic.
